2013 'Promoter of the Year'

Emma with her Pure Rawk 'Promoter of the Year' award March 2012.
Before I start with Emma's write up, I want to thank her for her endorsement of this website and her words of encouragment. I'm truly appreciative.
Emma is the UK's most renowned gig promoter. She is also a music business lecturer, teacher at Transmission Radio Skool, band mentor, compere, radio presenter and an author, with a must have book called 'Break Your Band: A Guide To Getting Radio Airplay' (details of the book are on the 'Associated Links 3' page). She has over 20 years music business experience and, obviously, as a presenter herself she knows what she is looking for when bands contact her hoping to get radio airplay on one of her own radio shows.
Emma's been winning awards for many years including, most recently, coming 2nd in the 'Best Radio Show 2009 in Kerrang! Magazine and 'Promoter of the Year' 2011 and 2012 at the Pure Rawk Awards. She has worked with everyone from every genre of music from Slipknot to Take That.
Emma's favourite bands are: Slipknot, Longview, Lost Prophets, Muse, Delays, Feeder, Foo Fighters, La Roux, Florence and the Machine, Adam and the Ants, Editors, Gundogs, Metallica, Placebo, Kasabian, My Chemical Romance and Nirvana.
Her partner, Jase Burns, also has a wealth of experience and more than 20 years in the music industry - starting off in bands and gig promotion, moving into radio production and, more recently, band management.
Check out her 'Emma Scott Presents' website for details on getting a slot on one of her gigs, as well as lots of useful information about how to get your band gigs generally, plus demo feedback from Emma.
Jase and Emma also have a record label, In At The Eye Records: "A music label for great bands, solo artists, DJ's and acts that seriously love what they do...and they mean it."
